If you have not filed your taxes yet this year, it may be time to check your calendar. The last day to file your taxes this year is April 18. Tax day is typically April 15 each year, but this year the filing deadline is extended until April 18 due to the District of Columbia Emancipation Day Holiday falling on April 16. In order to meet the IRS’s filing deadline, your taxes must be either postmarked or electronically filed on April 18 or earlier.

While the last few weeks of tax season typically fills up quickly as individuals rush to beat the deadline, the month of March is our slowest time of the season. The Tax Center currently has openings throughout the month of March. Scheduling an appointment now will help to guarantee that you bypass the end of season rush. Our April appointments are already filling up quickly. However, we can get you in as early as this week if you call today. Come in and let one of our IRS certified tax preparers help you complete your 2016 taxes.

The Tax Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Thursdays from 1 to 7 p.m. We have also added 8 a.m. appointment slots on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, but are seen on a first come, first serve basis. If you think you may be filing a 1040EZ this year, ask about the new drop-off option.
