Fort Knox Stray Animal Shelter

The Fort Knox Stray Animal Facility houses all stray animals found on Fort Knox. Our mission is to place dogs and cats in responsible, loving homes; provide humane education; and encourage spaying and neutering. Our staff also ensures that any obvious medical conditions are treated promptly and the animals are fed a proper diet. All pets brought to the facility will be spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for:

  • Cats: feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, and heartworm negative.
  • Dogs: heartworm negative (adult dogs).
