During this time the company was reorganized and redesignated as the 76TH Engineer Light Ponton Company. Following the war, the 76TH was inactivated 27 November 1945 at the New York Port of Embarkation.

Following several years of redesignation, the company was deployed to Korea as the 76TH Engineer Dump Truck Company, arriving on 26 September 1950. Assigned to the Eighth Army, the 76TH participated in all ten campaigns of the Korean War, receiving a Meritorious Unit Commendation and was inactivated after the war.

The 76TH went through a period of activation and inactivation until 24 July 1964, where it was activated as a direct support maintenance company at Fort Lee, Virginia. The company was deployed to Vietnam on 8 July 1966. After returning from Vietnam, the company was inactivated. The 76TH was then activated as part of the 4TH Brigade, 25TH ID, Schofield Barracks in 1969 and inactivated in 1972 when its Soldiers and equipment were assigned to the 65TH Engineer Battalion.

The 76TH was activated on 16 October 2005 at Fort Knox and deployed to eastern Afghanistan from December 2006 until March 2008 where it provided general engineering support through quality of life and force protection facilities for coalition forces.
