Reconnaissance Soldiers in action

Last Update: 17 Nov 09
Welcome

The 2009 Reconnaissance Summit aims to capitalize on the success of the 2008 summit as work continues to enhance Army Reconnaissance for Full Spectrum Operations.  This year’s summit will focus on two topics:  enhancing the Battlefield Surveillance Brigade (BFSB), and conducting an update on the Army Reconnaissance Course (ARC)/Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leader Course (RSLC).

For the BFSB, the summit will review the work that has been done over the past year, and provide a way ahead on what the Army leadership should consider as they work to ensure appropriate capabilities are resident at all echelons for Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Security operations.

For the ARC/RSLC, the intent is to provide a preview of the Armor School’s proposed way ahead, as we work to develop a holistic strategy for training reconnaissance and surveillance leaders at the MCOE.

The summit will again include a variety of vendors displaying the latest Reconnaissance and Surveillance technologies, as well as several social events.  The Armor Association will also conduct a breakfast meeting on Friday, 20 Nov 2009.  The culminating event will be an out-brief to the TRADOC Commanding General on the morning of 20 Nov 2009.

The Reconnaissance Summit will be held 19-20 November 2009, at Fort Knox.
