COL CJ King enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1989. In 1996, he graduated from the University of Missouri at St. Louis and earned a commission as an Infantry Officer. His subsequent assignments include Rifle Platoon Leader and S1 for 2-7 IN, Fort Stewart, GA; Executive Officer for B/703 MSB, Fort Stewart, GA; Deputy Support Operations Officer for 626 FSB, Fort Campbell, KY; Company Commander for B/801 MSB, Fort Campbell, KY; Multifunctional Logistics Instructor and Senior Team Leader for the Logistics Captains Career Course, Fort Lee, VA; Battalion Operations Officer and Executive Officer for 610 BSB, Fort Riley, KS; Observer Controller/Trainer (OC/T) for the Goldminer Team, Fort Irwin, CA; Officer Personnel Management System (OMPS) Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG) Action Officer, Executive Officer to the Commanding General, and G3 Current Operations Branch Chief for the Human Resources Command (HRC), Fort Knox, KY.

COL King commanded 299th Brigade Support Battalion from February 2014 to May 2016. After completing Senior Service College, he served as the Logistics Colonels Human Resource Manager for the Colonels Management Office in Arlington, VA. His previous operational deployments include Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and one tour in support of Operation Spartan Shield.

COL King holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Science in National Security and Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School. His military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle Commander Course, Combined Logistics Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms Services Staff School, Joint Course on Logistics, Support Operations Course, Command and General Staff College, Airborne School, Air Assault School, and Ranger School.

COL King's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (2OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (Silver OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), the Expert Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the Ranger Tab.

Emmet E. Holley

Mr. Emmet E. Holley is currently Deputy to the Garrison Commander at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Mr. Holley retired from the United States Army in June 2001. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Education at the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1976. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant of Armor in October 1976. During his 25-year career with the US Army, he served in numerous Command and Staff positions at several different stateside installations. He also served overseas in Germany, Egypt, and Alaska. Mr. Holley received his Masters Degree in Public Administration from Western Kentucky University in 1988. He is a recipient of the Silver Order of Saint George Award for his contributions to Armor Branch. In April 2005, Mr Holley was recognized as the 2005 Fort Knox Outstanding Volunteer of the Year.

Command Sergeant Major Garrick Griffin

CSM Garrick Griffin was born in Birmingham, Alabama on 8 April 1972. He entered the Army on 5 July 1990. He has served in numerous positions to include Wheeled-Vehicle Mechanic, Senior Wheeled-Vehicle Mechanic, Shop Foreman, Company Motor Sergeant, Battalion Motor Sergeant, Advance Individual Training Instructor, Drill Sergeant, Reserve Component Evaluator, First Sergeant, and G-3 Operations SGM and Battalion CSM.

CSM Griffin stateside assignments include Fort Leonardwood, Missouri; Fort Hood, Texas; Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Fort Lewis, Washington, Fort Bliss, Texas and Fort Lee, Virginia. CSM Griffin overseas assignments include four tours in South Korea; Schweinfurt, Germany; Bosnia, and Iraq.

CSM Griffin military and civilian education and training includes; Basic Combat Training, Light-wheeled vehicle mechanic course (91B), Warrior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Staff and Faculty Development Course, Drill Sergeant School, Master Fitness Course, Senior Leader Course, First Sergeant Course, Middle Managers Course and the United States Sergeants Major Academy (Class 64). CSM Griffin has an Associate’s degree in General Studies from Central Texas College, a Bachelor of Science in General Studies from Columbia College and Master of Science in Management from Excelsior College.

CSM Griffin’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star; Meritorious Service Medal 4 Award; Army Commendation Medal, 5 Awards; Army Achievement Medal; 14 Awards; Army Good Conduct Medal; 7 Awards; Armed Force Expeditionary Medal; Iraq campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; NATO Medal; Overseas Service Ribbon; the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. CSM Griffin is the 2002 Fort Jackson Drill Sergeant of the Year, a member of the Ordnance order of Samuel Sharpe, and a Distinguished Logistician.
